The ASSU Elections Commission is an independent body of the ASSU that
- sets elections policies with help from students, the ASSU Executives, Undergrad Senate, Grad Student Council, and SAL;
- educates candidates about ballot requirements and elections policies;
- informs student groups requesting Special Fees about the approval process;
- helps voters learn about issues and candidates with minimal expense and environmental waste; and
- runs the Spring Quarter elections fairly and transparently.
Elections matter to all Stanford students because the students we elect choose how to spend millions of dollars of our money each year and represent our interests to the University. Voting isn't about politics; it's about picking the people you trust with those responsibilities.
