What is the mission and purpose of your student group?

To educate the Stanford community on world health crises,

To build a group with a culture of creativity and inspiration,

To create a unique and lasting tradition, a Dance Marathon, as a
symbol of this effort.

Why are you requesting Special Fees?

Dance Marathon is requesting Special Fees in order to have the
financial resources to put on the Dance Marathon as well as the
events leading up to it. This includes money for sound, stage
equipment, food, decorations, etc. In addition, resources are
needed to host educational events leading up to the marathon, to
provide information and materials to dancers, and to purchase the
supplies necessary to run the organization.

What are the three largest line item requests in your budget and why?

The three largest items are:

1. Food - Due to the duration and physical requirements of our
event, we provide 3 meals to each of our 300 dancers throughout
the course of the 24 hours.

2. Equipment Rental - Due to the size of the event, there are
significant costs for lighting, sound, stage, carpet, etc.

3. Tshirts - This cost is high due to the number of people
involved in dance marathon (300 dancers, 200 moralers, committee
members, etc).
