The Graduate Student Council (GSC) recommends that graduate
students vote YES on Club Sports, and voted unanimously to place
it on the ballot and include this statement in the Elections Handbook.

This year, the Club Sports special fee has been divided into
graduate and undergraduate student portions.  The size of each
population's fee is representative of their overall participation
in Club Sports. Furthermore, the Club Sports budget has been
divided such that the graduate portion of the fee request will
finance graduate students who participate in Club Sports.

This year's graduate fee request, $45,047.90, is approximately
50% less than last year's request.  Since graduate students will
be funding graduate participation in Club Sports, the GSC
believes that this is a fair appropriate level of funding for
Club Sports, and strongly encourages a YES vote from the graduate
student body.
