What is the mission and purpose of your student group?

The mission and purpose of Salseros is to provide a venue for members of
the Stanford community to engage in the dance form and culture of salsa.  We
aim to share our love for dancing and entertain audiences with the sensual
and artistic styles commonly found in salsa throughout the Stanford
community and beyond.	

Why are you requesting Special Fees?

Los Salseros is more than just a performance team.  Unlike any other
performance group on campus, we hold weekly parties every Friday night,
volunteer with different youth groups and schools throughout the area,
provide free salsa lessons and workshops to every Stanford student, and
perform.  Special Fees allows our group to continue services to student woth
no charge.

What are the three largest line item requests in your budget and why?

The largest portions of our budget are reserving space to hold the weekly
campus parties and honorarium for DJs and salsa bands.
